Frederick William Goodfellow (born March 7, 1874 in Walsall , † November 22, 1960 in Croydon ) was a British athlete and tug of war .
Goodfellow took part in the 1908 Olympic Games in London in the tug of war and won the gold medal with the British team. In fact, the silver and bronze medals also went to British teams. Goodfellow, then 34, was a police officer. The winning team to which he belonged consisted of British police officers. It was called the London City Police . In the final of the competition on July 18, 1908, this team was defeated as the Liverpool Police Team .
