Fredrik Solvang (born May 17, 1977 in South Korea ) is a Norwegian journalist , television presenter and news anchor . Since March 2018 he has moderated the political debate program Debatten .

Life

Solvang began working as a journalist for the Norwegian broadcaster Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK). There he became a presenter on Dagsnytt 18 , a news and debate program. He also worked as a political journalist for the main news program Dagsrevyen . In 2017 he was nominated in the category "Best Male Presenter" at the Gullruten TV Award. However, he couldn't win.

In April 2018 it was announced that he would be the permanent presenter of the weekly program Debates . Before that, he had already directed four programs. In addition to these regular programs, he also moderates election campaign broadcasts, such as in the supply of local and Fylkestingswahlen in September 2019. In June 2020 he won for his work at debates the award in the category "Best Moderator - news, sports updates, or" at the TV- Price manure rods.

Solvang, who was born in South Korea, came to Norway as an adopted child.
