Competitions
Style Slalom (IFSA)
The style slalom mode of the IFSA is strongly based on the classic freestyle of figure skating. The aim here is to do a freestyle with as many high-quality tricks as possible within the cones in a certain time (currently 1:30 minutes). This run will then be judged separately by different judges. There are ratings in the categories of technology, style, mistakes and management. According to a fixed point scheme, the skater who achieves the highest total number of points wins.
Freestyle slalom battle
The Paris Slalom World Cup 2006 was held in Paris for the first time in this mode. This is about the direct comparison within a skater group. A number of skaters start one after the other for up to four 30-second runs in which a direct comparative evaluation is carried out between the skaters. The best two in each round then advance to the next round. In the final, the last four face each other and the final position is decided by a final battle.
German championship
Since 2009 the German championship has been held as part of the “German Slalom Series”. Organizationally affiliated with the DRIV , the German champion is currently being determined in four freestyle slalom battles in different cities.
