The independent scene is a term that was coined a few years ago. This term arose from an association of independent small event organizers with the aim of offering music style-related events for little money. The reason for the emergence of what was then called "subculture" was the situation in Leipzig. The city had no funds for cultural offers, which is why the initiative was formed to counteract this. Today the term "independent scene" is something that no longer has much to do with subculture and corresponds to the description above. It has become a branch of industry that should not be despised, and many organizers have joined it.
