Klaipėda Free Economic Zone

The Klaipėda Free Economic Zone (lit. Klaipėdos laisvoji ekonominė zona ) is a spatially delimited geographical area of ​​412 ha within Klaipėda in Lithuania , for which there are legal and administrative facilities for investors ( special economic zone ). The zone was established in 2002. The investments amount to 1.51 billion litas (350 million euros). There are 1,258 jobs. The companies of Lithuanian origin make up about a third (e.g. biodiesel production company Mestilla , the leading Lithuanian manufacturer of PET packaging, the Nemuno Banga Group (NBG), has a new plant together with the Spanish "Interquisa", among others).
