The Kaunas Free Economic Zone (lit. Kauno laisvoji ekonominė zona ) is a delimited area of ​​534 ha within the Kaunas Rajong municipality in Lithuania , for which there are legal and administrative facilities for investors ( special economic zone ). The zone was in October 1996 south of Ramučiai , the Magistrallandstraßen A6 ( Kaunas - Zarasai - Daugpilis and A1 () Vilnius -Kaunas- Klaipėda ) in Biruliškiai (District Karmėlava built).

It offers the tax incentive (tax advantage: 16 years) for production, storage and other areas of activity. A company is exempt from income tax if it invests more than EUR 1 million for a period of 6 reporting periods. The tax figure is 50% for the next 10 reporting periods (the guild tax in Lithuania is only 15%).

Zones

The Kaunas Free Economic Zone has three zones: Logistics and Production Territory, Commercial Road and Air Park (connection with Kaunas Airport ).
