Marijampolė Free Economic Zone
The Marijampolė Free Economic Zone is a spatially delimited geographical area of 77.73 hectares in the Marijampolė district in Lithuania , for which there are legal and administrative facilities for investors ( special economic zone ). The zone was established in December 2011 by the Law on the Marijampolė Free Economic Zone for 49 years. In the former industrial park Marijampolė one hoped for many investors and their investments, but in vain, although the municipality invested 4 million litas.
