Ramučiai (German Ramutten ) is a place with 2,372 inhabitants in the Rajongemeinde Kaunas , on the way from the city of Kaunas to Karmėlava in Lithuania . Kaunas Airport is to the east of the village, Kaunas Free Economic Zone to the south and the Ramučiai Reservoir to the northeast .
history
There used to be a primary school in Ramučiai (now a section of the Karmėlava High School). In 1948 a library was set up and then a cultural center was built. In 1970 there were 414 inhabitants. The sports clubs FK Ramučiai ( football , LFF III lyga ) and KK “Aremilta” ( basketball ) were founded here.
