Freie Blatt - Organ for the Defense against Anti-Semitism was the title of an Austrian weekly newspaper that appeared in Vienna from 1892.

The first edition of the Freie Blatt was published on April 10, 1892. The newspaper initially appeared every Sunday and was published from December 1, 1895 without an additional title. The publisher and editor of the newspaper was initially Ernst Viktor Zenker, and from July 16, 1893, Josef Preelner was employed as an editor. The editorial office was located in Vienna's 1st district, Innere Stadt (Seilerstätte 10). The newspaper set itself the task of "exposing the unfairness of the anti-Semitic tendencies in their theoretical justification as in their practical activity with thoroughly incontestable evidence". On June 28, 1896, the free sheet was discontinued.

The Freie Blatt was re-established in September 1896 and appeared as Das Freie Blatt for the first time on September 1, 1896. The frequency of publication was reduced to two to three issues per month with changing days, the editor was Adalbert Haffner (= Adalbert Schlechter), editor was also Adalbert Schlechter. The editorial office moved to Favoriten (Landgutstrasse 27) and from February 1897 was based in the Landstrasse district (Landstraßer Gürtel 21). “Das Freie Blatt” also made it its business to stand up against anti-Semitic tendencies. Editor Adalbert Haffner, who wrote in one of the last editions that he stands up “with full conviction for our oppressed Jewish fellow citizens”, complained in January 1897 about financial problems. The last edition finally appeared on May 10, 1897.
