The Liberal Party ( Ottoman Fırka-ı Ahrar , Turkish Ahrar Fırkası ) was a liberal movement of the Ottoman Empire founded during the Second Ottoman constitutional period .

The chairman was Prince Sabahaddin , who represented the progressive, liberal wing of the Young Turks . Important demands were the greatest possible economic freedom for the individual and the decentralization of the administration. In the elections in 1908, however, the movement's candidates failed to prevail against those of the Committee for Unity and Progress .

Newspapers such as İkdam, Sabah , Yeni Gazete, Sadayı Millet and Servet-i Fünûn were close to the party and at the same time took a stand against the progressive nationalist Committee for Unity and Progress.

The Liberal Party existed from September 1907 to April 1908.
