The Kansai Gaidai University ( Japanese 関 西 外国語 大学 , Kansai Gaikokugo Daigaku , short: Kansai Gaidai , German "Foreign Language University Kansai ") is a private university in Hirakata , Osaka , Japan , with a strong focus on foreign language studies.

The Kansai Gaidai is known for its large Asian Studies Program for foreign exchange students, in which approximately 600 foreign students participate annually. Every year, around 1,500 Kansai Gaidai students study abroad. The university with three campuses in Hirakata , a place that lies roughly between Kyoto and Osaka in Japan .
