Remarks

The polka was written for Mardi Gras in 1853. The composer, who has just recovered from a serious illness, directed the world premiere himself. He happily greeted his audience with the work. Hence the title name is derived.

The playing time on the CD listed under individual records is 3 minutes and 4 seconds. This time can vary somewhat depending on the conductor's musical conception.
