The Association of Friends of the Railroad e. V. (founded in 1957) is an interest group of railway enthusiasts in northern Germany .

The association (FdE) was founded on January 10, 1957 in Hamburg and was co-founder of the Bundesverband Deutscher Eisenbahnfreunde e. V. (BDEF) . The FdE currently has around 210 members. You will be offered lectures, discussions, tours, study trips and publications on the history and technology of railways. Activities focus on a railway archive, travel service, a working group and publications.
