Frida-Hockauf-Method

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Frida Hockauf Method was a working method used in the GDR to increase labor productivity .

The method was named after the weaver Frida Hockauf : Several looms were operated at different times so that fewer downtimes occurred. The slogan “The way we work today, we will live tomorrow” is ascribed to it. It was reported that she achieved her self-imposed goal on December 10, 1953 through well-organized work and conscientious use of working hours.

Because of over-fulfillment of the plan , like the miner Adolf Hennecke , she was stylized by the GDR propaganda as a model in socialist competition.
