The Peace Banderole is a contemporary document and folk art work of peace that was founded in May 2010 by the author, publicist and cultural mentor Helene Walterskirchen . One of the project's sponsors is the educational and cultural association AdmaCUM e. V. The Peace Banderole is a non-profit project that is financed by donations.

History and focus

At the beginning of the project there was Helene Walterskirchen's vision of creating a globally visible and tangible work for peace, a community effort in which all people in the world can participate and which forms a global banner of peace. Every person who says “yes” to peace should be able to register by name and paint his or her peace picture on it and thus express his readiness for peace and a peace-oriented lifestyle.

The peace band consists of an organic linen fabric and is 80 cm wide, with a head part, a name part and a picture part. Through this fixed determination, organizations from countries to which the peace banderole cannot come personally can also take part in the project. In autumn 2016, the length of the peace banderole was around 1.7 km with around 3,000 peace paintings on it.

The peace banderole is archived in Schloss Rudolfshausen in the community of Igling -Holzhausen and from time to time brought to certain places and events where it is exhibited.

The peace banderole serves as a peace education medium in youth groups, e.g. B. Scouts, altar boys, as well as in Waldorf schools, Montessori schools and grammar schools.
