Friedhelm Schmitz-Jersch

Friedhelm Schmitz-Jersch (born March 24, 1947 in Dortmund ) is a German lawyer and State Secretary.

Friedhelm Schmitz-Jersch comes from the Ruhr area and studied law. After completing his studies, he initially worked for the SPD parliamentary group in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia. After the reunification in the GDR he came to Brandenburg as managing director of the SPD parliamentary group. He later moved to the regional administration there and was State Secretary for the Environment and Regional Planning until 2004.

In retirement he is involved in various associations, e. B. the Deutsche Verkehrswacht and the Naturschutzbund Deutschland . For his party he has a mandate in the local advisory council of Geltow of the community of Schwielowsee .
