Ludwigsthal cemetery
The Ludwigsthal cemetery , formerly An der Plantage cemetery , is a small cemetery in the Ludwigsthal district of Neunkirchen .
history
The Ludwigsthal cemetery was created in 1876 as the “An der Plantage” cemetery. The name came from the place name, because until 1884 the place was called "Plantage", a name that is still used today in the language of Neunkirchen. It was a communal cemetery. Until the inauguration, the Protestants were buried in the Limbach cemetery and the Catholics in Niederbexbach .
In 1969 a morgue was set up. The cemetery was expanded from the mid-1970s and a new forecourt was designed in 1980. Today there are around eight burials a year.
location
The cemetery is located on the main street of Ludwigsthal, south of the city center and borders the local forest. The area extends to 0.8 hectares .
