Perlach cemetery
The Perlach cemetery is one of the “urban outdoor cemeteries” of the city of Munich - not to be confused with the cemetery at Perlacher Forst . The Perlach cemetery, opened around 1900, is located on the border between Perlach and Neuperlach , which is directly adjacent to the cemetery to the east and north. The Perlacher Friedhof is framed by Putzbrunner Straße in the south, Hans-Fried-Weg in the west and Schumacherring in the north. In the east, multi-story apartment blocks border the cemetery. The opening times vary with the seasons: in March the cemetery is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., from April to August from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., in September and October from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and from November to February from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There are several graves of prominent citizens in the cemetery. Including Willy Harlander (1931–2000), who participated in numerous TV productions and films, and the cabaret artist and actor Jürgen Scheller (1922–1996). Entitlement to a grave site in this cemetery is tied to one condition: You must have lived in Perlach or the districts 16.31, 16.32, 16.33, 16.34, 16.35, 16.41, 16.42, 16.43, 16.44, 16.45, 16.46, for at least 20 years. 16.47, 16.51, 16.52, 16.53, 16.54 and 16.55 have or have had.
