The cemetery with the cemetery chapel is located south of the city center on a higher level at the foot of the Silberberg and Herrenberg. The chapel is in the western entrance area.
history
In 1910 the cemetery chapel was built for 60,000 gold marks.

The mourning hall, equipped with a gallery and leaded glass windows , offers space for sixty people.

In 1910, two lead glass windows were donated for the inauguration
- Kommerzienrat Hermann Schrödel from the manor Friedrichstanneck and
- Purveyor to the court Wilhelm Franke from Naumburg / Saale

Next to the mourning hall are the cemetery administration building and the funeral home of the Evangelical Lutheran parish as well as the house of the cemetery administrator. All buildings as well as the entrance gate are under monument protection . The buildings and the grounds of the Gottesackers are constantly maintained.
