The Friedhofstürmle in Pleidelsheim is a building from the 17th century.

history

Until 1607/08 the dead were buried in Pleidelsheim in the church field near the Mauritius church . After that, a new cemetery was created outside the village at Großingersheimer Tor. This was equipped with a house of the dead with a turret in 1630. In this house of the dead, which was later also called the crypt, plague victims , strangers and people who had drowned in the Neckar were laid out. The building was renovated in 1932. At that time a certificate was placed in the ball of the weather vane . After another renovation in 1990, the sphere received a new content.
