The Friedrich Ludwig Jahn Stadium is a multifunctional sports facility in the city of Hoyerswerda .

The facility, which was named after the initiator of the German gymnastics movement, Friedrich Ludwig Jahn , is used, among other things, for athletics events. The stadium was opened on May 1, 1959 and was used by the BSG activist Schwarze Pump, the predecessor of Hoyerswerdaer FC, as a venue. It is located in the north of the city and is owned by the city of Hoyerswerda. It is equipped with grass and artificial turf pitches and a 400 m running track. The stadium area also includes multifunctional open spaces and a modern sports hall built in 1971.

While the stadium was expanded to a capacity of 15,000 in the 1970s, the number of spectators was later reduced to 11,000. Thereafter, the main and guest stands each hold 5,000 spectators, the curves up to 500, 1,000 seats are covered. At times the number of spectators is limited to 3,500. The current attendance record (2011) was set up with over 12,000 visitors on September 22, 1984 in the 2nd round of the FDGB Cup at the encounter between BSG activist Schwarze Pump and 1. FC Magdeburg (2: 3 after extra time).

So far, the stadium has twice hosted international football matches. On February 23, 1983, the GDR youth soccer team played in the Jahnstadion against Greece (1: 1), and on November 4, 1984 the GDR youth soccer team played there against Norway (1: 0).
