Friedrich August Wilhelm Strauch

Friedrich August Wilhelm Strauch (born June 23, 1826 in Berlin ; † October 29, 1906 ibid.) Was a German architect .

Life

From 1840 to 1843, Strauch trained as a carpenter. He then continued his professional education and attended the Academy of Arts . In 1847 he took the carpentry exam and studied art history at the University of Berlin in 1848/49 . In 1849 he began studying at the Berlin Building Academy , which he completed around 1854 with the building master's exam. He then worked as a private builder in Berlin and was a member of the board of the stock corporation for construction works founded in 1872 . From 1850 he was a member of the Berlin Architects' Association .

  • 1872: Stable and coach house building at Hohenzollernstrasse 5
  • 1875–1876: Elisabeth-Siechenhaus Eberswalder Straße 17–18 (monument protection)

With the exception of the listed buildings, all buildings no longer exist.
