Friedrich Barchewitz (* 1836 ; † August 14, 1902 in Lubiąż ) was a German architect who had been active in Wroclaw since 1862 and is considered a representative of Neo-Renaissance architecture.

In 1862 he created the design for the expansion of the Gottfried Linke wagon construction company and, from 1868–1869, the design for the Lobe Theater at Lessingstrasse 8 (ulica Dobrzyńska) in the suburb of Ohlau.

From 1869 to 1871 he worked in the municipal building administration of the city of Wroclaw and since 1872 for the Schlesische Immobilien Aktien-Gesellschaft , where he held the post of director of building since 1873.

In 1873 he won the competition for the design of the Königstrasse (ulica Leszczyńskiego). In 1872 he worked on the guidelines of the tent garden on the Breslauer Promenade, in 1874 the Scholz garden on Herbert-Welkisch-Straße (ulica Mazowiecka) and the apartment buildings in place of the former mouse pond.

1880–1881 he designed the Jewish orphanage on Gräbschener Strasse (ulica Grabiszyńska) 61–65.
