Friedrich Däuble (born January 17, 1953 in Karlsruhe ) is a German diplomat who was Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Vienna from 2015 to 2018 .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1971, Däuble studied history and German in Heidelberg, Vienna and Cambridge until 1978. He then worked as a research assistant until 1984. From 1984 to 1986 he completed the preparatory service for the higher foreign service. After graduating, he worked at the Foreign Office in Bonn, the Federal President's Office in Berlin, the embassies in Venezuela, Poland and the Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany to the European Union.

Between 2008 and 2012 he was Permanent Representative of the Ambassador in Rome . From 2013 to 2015 he was Consul General in São Paulo. From 2015 to 2018 he was Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Vienna.
