James Michael Pouncey (* 24. July 1989 in Ardmore , Oklahoma ) is an American American football poker players on the position of the center . He plays for the Los Angeles Chargers in the National Football League (NFL). Before that he was under contract with the Miami Dolphins .

Career

college

Pouncey had offers for scholarships from several colleges, chose the University of Florida and played college football with his twin brother Maurkice , who is now under contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers , for their team, the Gators , extremely successfully . Mike was used in various positions both in the offensive line and in the defensive line .

NFL

Miami Dolphins

In the 2011 NFL Draft , he was selected in the 1st round as 15th overall by the Miami Dolphins . He already played as a starter in his rookie season and has since played both as a center and a guard .

According to a report released by the NFL in February 2014 , Pouncey was one of the main culprits in a bullying affair that troubled the Dolphins in 2013.

So far he has been nominated three times for the Pro Bowl . In the 2016 season he was only able to play five games due to an injury.

Los Angeles Chargers

In March 2018, Pouncey moved to the Los Angeles Chargers , with whom he signed a two-year deal worth $ 15 million .
