Friedrich Goeppert

Friedrich Göppert (born October 25, 1870 in Kattowitz , † February 9, 1927 in Berlin ) was a German medic.

Live and act

Friedrich Göppert studied medicine in Heidelberg and Berlin. In 1896 Göppert obtained the doctorate to Dr. med. in Wroclaw. He then worked as an assistant at the children's clinics in Breslau and Berlin. From 1900 to 1909 he worked as a pediatrician in Katowice. In 1909 he was appointed associate professor for paediatrics in Göttingen. In 1919 he became a full professor there until his death in 1927.

He was the father of Maria Goeppert-Mayer .
