Friedrich Knotzer

Friedrich Knotzer (born May 4, 1944 in Traiskirchen ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). From 1983 to 1999 he was a member of the state parliament of Lower Austria and from 1999 to 2003 regional councilor in the state government of Pröll III .

Life

After elementary and secondary school, Knotzer attended a vocational school, where he learned the trade of retail salesman. He then worked as a branch manager between 1962 and 1970 and worked as the SPÖ district party secretary from 1970 to 1985. Knotzer became involved in local politics as a local councilor in Traiskirchen from 1975, and in 1985 he was elected mayor. He represented the SPÖ Lower Austria between December 1, 1983 and November 18, 1999 in the Lower Austrian state parliament and from 1999 held the office of club chairman. From November 18, 1999 to April 24, 2003, he was regional councilor in the state government of Pröll III.
