Friedrich Ludwig Niemann

Friedrich Ludwig Niemann (born October 24, 1806 in Bielefeld , † March 2, 1889 in Berlin ) was a German industrialist who lived in the Horst district of Essen .

He was the son of Friedrich Wilhelm Fürchtegott Niemann and Veremina born. Schlingemann , a daughter of the merchant Friedrich Ludwig Schlingemann in Amsterdam .

According to legend, the family's prosperity was based on a treasure found by his father in Haus Horst . He had the later Villa Vogelsang built in 1840 and financed Alfred Krupp in 1856 with a 7.5% p. a. interest-bearing loan.
