Friedrich von Twist

Friedrich von Twist (* in the 16th century; † November 8, 1559 ) was a canon in Münster .

Life

Friedrich von Twist was born as the son of Friedrich von Twist (* 1485, Drost zu Sassenberg and Wittlage) and his wife Elisabeth von Canstein . He was canon in St. Mauritz in Münster from 1536 and applied for the cathedral canon of Dietrich von Meschede on March 22, 1545 . In November 1551 he came into the possession of a cathedral priest from Münster . With the adoption of this office renounced it in St. Mauritz. His brother Phillip Heinrich received his canonical. Friedrich remained in possession of the benefice until his death. His successor was Dietrich Franz von Raesfeld .
