Fritz Stoebe

Fritz Stoebe (born April 29, 1923 ; † July 12, 2007 in Hermannsburg ) was the founder of outplacement consulting in Germany.

Life

At the age of 54, Stoebe lost his position as managing director. From this experience, he made it his mission to help other affected people. Together with Wolfgang Mewes , the spiritual father of the EKS strategy , Stoebe developed a procedure for professional reorientation and opened a management consultancy. Over the years this has developed into one of the leading providers of outplacement consulting in Germany.

Fritz Stoebe was the first to offer redundant managers help with professional reorientation, and at that time - 1979 - he still had to deal with the Federal Labor Office, which claimed a monopoly for this activity. The approval that Stoebe received made it easy for the subsequent outplacement companies to establish themselves.

Stoebe published numerous articles on the subject of outplacement in the daily and specialist press. He also wrote a book about his experiences: "Outplacement - Manager between separation and a new beginning", which was published in 1993 by Campus Verlag.

The concept that Stoebe developed for the German labor market prevailed against the methods imported from the Anglo-Saxon language area. Today practically all providers of outplacement consulting in Germany work according to the Stoebesche concept.
