Front is a Swedish design company based in Stockholm .

history

The design office was founded in 2004 and today (2016) consists only of the two designers Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren. The office has worked for companies such as Moooi from the Netherlands, Kartell, Moroso (Italy) and Ikea , among others. Her works often alienate the natural models, for example the Soft Wood Sofa , which is an upholstery printed on a soft cushion, or the Blow Away ceramic vase fluttering in the wind . Her best-known work is a life-size metal and plastic horse with a lampshade called Horse Lamp , which was designed for Moooi in 2000.

Front has designed chairs, cupboards, lamps, clothes racks and glasses, among other things, and has received a number of prizes, including the Torsten och Wanja Söderbergs Prize for innovation on November 5, 2010 in Gothenburg, which is worth 1 million Swedish kronor .
