The tethered fox hunt is a sport with tethered planes , in which two tethered flight models are flown in the same circle and the pilots try to cut off a piece of paper from each other . Both models draw a strip of paper called a "foxtail" or "streamer". The aim is to cut as many pieces as possible from the opponent's foxtail with the propeller within four minutes and to prevent the opponent from cutting through wild aerobatics . The aircraft come very close and the risk of a collision and crash is high. That is why the aircraft are very simple and robust.
