Fulaga [ fuˈlaŋa ], formerly Vulaga , is an 18.5 km² island in the southern area of the Lau Islands. Fulaga consists mainly of limestone which can be seen in the large lagoon on the west side of the island as pinnacles protruding from the water.
Most of the island's residents live in the towns of Muanaira, Naividamu and Muanaicake. About 400 people lived on Fulaga in the middle of the 20th century. However, unemployment and a lack of schools have encouraged migration to larger islands in recent decades.
