from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Fuldaer Volkszeitung was a regional daily newspaper in Fulda that appeared from 1945 to 1974.

history

The Fuldaer Volkszeitung was licensed with License No. 30 of the US military government. After the Second World War , the previous newspapers were initially no longer admitted and instead new newspapers with politically unaffected publishers, the so-called licensed press, were approved by the occupation authorities.

It was first published on October 31, 1945 in the Fulda publishing house founded by Heinrich Kierzek in the same year . Until production of the Fuldaer Zeitung was resumed , it was the only regional newspaper in the Fulda area for several years .

The last edition was delivered on June 29, 1974, then the partial editions for Fulda and Hünfeld were taken over by the Fuldaer Zeitung.

The former sports reporter Hans-Joachim Rauschenbach worked for the Fuldaer Volkszeitung from 1945 to 1957.
