Fundraising Association Austria

The Fundraising Verband Austria (FVA) is an association founded in 1996 and as this service provider for fundraisers in organizations and agencies as well as for consultants in the non-profit sector . With 315 member organizations (as of April 2018) it is the largest fundraising platform in Austria.

In Austria, around 550 million euros (as of 2014) are used annually in private donations in the non-profit sector. As an information and networking platform, the FVA creates the framework for the professionalization of fundraising.

Members include Austrian and international organizations such as the Austrian Red Cross , Caritas , SOS Children's Villages , Doctors Without Borders , Global 2000 , House of Mercy , Hilfswerk Austria , Rote Nasen Clowndoctors , Vier Pfoten , Greenpeace , World Vision Austria and the WWF

De FVA supports its members through projects such as “MeineSpende.at”, a website that gives an overview of Austrian donation organizations and their fundraising campaigns, or the “Austrian donation lottery”. In addition, with the Vergissmeinnicht.at campaign, the FVA informs the Austrian population about the possibility of giving a will to consider a non-profit organization and doing good after death.

Since October 2002 the FVA has been organizing the “Fundraising College” in cooperation with WIFI Vienna. In addition, the Fundraising Association organizes the Fund Raising School once a year in cooperation with "The Lilly Family School of Philanthropy" at Indiana University in America. The FVA also organizes the “Austrian Fundraising Congress” every year.
