Székesfehérvár radio station

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Székesfehérvár radio station was a radio station for long and short wave in Székesfehérvár in Hungary , which was set up in 1922 and at the time of commissioning had a 10 kW tube transmitter and a 150 kW machine transmitter . The antenna consisted of two self-radiating transmission masts, each 152 meters high, isolated from the ground . Shortwave transmitters were added later. The plant was in operation at least until the 1990s; in 2009 the large masts were demolished.

In the corresponding map sheet TPC F-2B of the US Air Force Tactical Pilotage Chart Series - World , the height of the two transmitter masts on the southwestern outskirts is given as 880 feet. In this area there is now a lattice mast as a television transmitter.
