Functiolect

As Funktiolekt (from functio n and the Konfix - lekt from Dia lekt ) is in the Varieties linguistic variation based on a language understood their communicative purpose within a communication area and a work situation.

Individual functional sects

Based on functional stylistics and its classic classification into five functional styles, the following functiolects are assumed:

  • Functional everyday language
  • Functiolect poetic language
  • Functional science language
  • Functiolekt official language
  • Functiolekt press language
  • Funkiolekt advertising language
  • Functiolekt instruction language

These functiolects are characterized by special linguistic means that have developed due to their integration into the respective social work areas.
