The Funky Marys are a group of five women who perform mainly during the Cologne and Rhenish Carnivals. Most of the titles are performed in the Cologne dialect.

The group was founded in 2002 as part of a casting for the Kölner Express and the record company Pavement Records . The jury included Guido Cantz and Linus .

Members

The five founding members are Andrea Schönenborn, her sister Yvonne Schönenborn, Anika Oberhettinger, Tatjana Tissen and Lucrezia Roncaletti. Tissen and Roncaletti were later replaced by Rebecca Schmalbein and Marion Mies. In October 2011, Anika Oberhettinger was replaced by Yvonne "Övves" Oster. In 2012 Rebecca Schmalbein left for professional reasons. The new singer is Tabea "Tadäus" Scholdan. At the beginning of 2016, Marion Mies was replaced by Ina Dahlenburg.
