The Furen Point (English, Bulgarian нос Фурен nos Furen ) is a rocky headland on the Oscar-II. coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . As an extension of the Jordanow Nunatak , it is 6.9 km west of Diralo Point and 9 km northwest of Caution Point on the northwest bank of Borima Bay . The headland was exposed as a result of the break-up of the Larsen Ice Shelf in 2002 and the subsequent retreat of the Jorum and Minsuchar glaciers .

The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2012 after the town of Furen in northwestern Bulgaria .
