Min Dong or the eastern Min dialect ( Chinese 閩東 語 / 闽东 语 , Pinyin Mǐndōngyǔ , Min Dong: Mìng-dĕ̤ng-ngṳ̄ ) is a Chinese language from the group of Min languages . It is spoken in the northeast of Fujian Province.
The dialect of the city of Fuzhou ( 福州 話 / 福州 话 , Fúzhōuhuà ), also called Futschou or Foochow , is of particular importance .
