Gérard Lommel

Gérard Lommel (* 1954 ) is a Luxembourg lawyer and President of the Commission Nationale pour la Protection des Données , the national data protection commission of Luxembourg .

Life

Lommel obtained a Master of Laws degree from the University of Nancy (France) and worked first as a lawyer, later as a prosecutor at the Tribunal in Luxembourg and finally as a legal advisor in the private sector.

Lommel has been its chairman since the establishment of the National Data Protection Commission on October 31, 2002. He represents Luxembourg in the Article 29 Working Party .
