The Gördes Dam ( Turkish Gördes Barajı ) is located on the Gördes Çayı river, 13 km northeast of the city of Gölmarmara in the western Turkish province of Manisa .
The dam was built in 1998–2012 for irrigation and drinking water supply to the city of Manisa. The rock rubble dam with concrete sealing ( CFR dam ) is 82.9 m above the valley floor and has a volume of 4.5 million m³. The associated reservoir covers an area of 14 km² with normal back-up and has a storage space of 448.5 million m³. The dam is used to irrigate an area of 14,890 ha.
