Gösslunda

Gösslunda is a village belonging to the municipality of Mörbylånga on the Swedish island of Öland in the Baltic Sea .

The village with fewer than 50 inhabitants (as of 2005) is located in the middle of the Stora Alvaret in the southern part of the island. Gösslunda can only be reached via a dead end road from the road that crosses the Alvar between Bårby and Alby north of the village .

Gösslunda is one of the oldest villages in Öland. It is believed that Gösslunda has been continuously inhabited for 2000 years.

South of the village is from the Bronze Age dating Roese (cairn) Gösslunda röjr . To the west of the village is the Gösslunda nature reserve .
