Günter Knoblich (born January 25, 1953 in Georgsmarienhütte ) is a former German football player .

Career

The striker Günter Knoblich began his career at VfL Kloster Oesede and moved in 1972 to VfL Osnabrück in the then second-class Regionalliga Nord . With the Osnabrück team, he qualified two years later for the newly created 2nd Bundesliga . Knoblich came to 26 regional league games in the two years, in which he scored three goals.

Knoblich then moved to SpVg Emsdetten 05 in the third-class association league Westphalia , with which he qualified in 1978 for the newly created Oberliga Westfalen . A year later, Knoblich played for a year at league rivals Bünder SV before returning to his hometown club VfL Kloster Oesede in 1980 . From 1982 to 1985 he was the club's player- coach.
