Günter Lange (theologian)

Günter Lange (born February 5, 1932 in Borgentreich ) is a Catholic theologian.

Lange was born in Borgentreich in 1932 and grew up in Warburg . After graduating from high school in 1952 at Marianum , he studied Catholic theology in Paderborn and Munich. In 1959 he was ordained a priest . In 1969, Lange became professor of religious education at the University of Duisburg , and in 1983 at the University of Bochum . In 1997 he retired. From 1981 to 1996 he was editor of the magazine Catechetical Leaves . He lives in Duisburg.
