Günter Limburg (* 1960 in Kall ) is a German painter , graphic artist and sculptor .

Live and act

He began his artistic training during his school days with the art teacher and artist György Asvany (Hungary) at the modern language grammar school in Mechernich . The study of fine art took place with Pravoslav Sovak at the Werkkunstschule Cologne .

Until 1995 Limburg was the artist for the Ruchti modern art gallery in Cologne. It was exhibited by Charly Meartin, together with Jörg Immendorff , Markus Lüpertz and AR Penck . His works have been shown in over 50 solo exhibitions so far. Currently represented by Saatchi Online London, among others.

Limburg has taken over the management of the Cologne Art School since 2007 and works as a private lecturer. Limburg lives and works in Cologne.
