Günter Paul (science journalist)

Günter Paul (* 1946 in Lüneburg ) is a German science journalist.

Günter Paul studied physics and astronomy in Bonn and received his doctorate there in 1979 ( three-dimensional structure in the earth's dexosphere based on ballistic transport phenomena ). From 1979 to 2011 he was in the Nature & Science editorial team of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung .

His main focus as a journalist was astronomy and physics. He was a trainer for science journalism in the FAZ editorial team Nature & Science. He has published books on the search for aliens, remote sensing of the earth with satellites and military armament in space.

In 2011 he received the medal for scientific journalism from the German Physical Society (DPG).
