Günter Pollex
Günter Pollex (* 1952 ) is a former German national basketball player and coach.
career
Pollex was a member of the Bundesliga team SSV Hagen from the 1969/70 season . In August 1970 he took part with the German national junior team at the European Championship in Athens and recorded an average of 2.6 points per match in seven tournaments. He later also played international matches for the German national team.
In 1971 he moved to TuS Leverkusen , where his brother Jochen was already playing. Together they became German champions in 1972 with the Rhinelanders. After a year in Leverkusen, Günter Pollex and his brother returned to Hagen. In 1974 the two Pollex brothers became German champions with the SSV under coach Jörg Trapp . Günter Pollex played continuously for Hagen in the Bundesliga until 1982.
In the game year 1982/83 he took over as a coach at SSV, later he was head coach of TSV 1860 Hagen (1988/89 in the basketball Bundesliga ). His main job was in the administration of the city of Hagen , and later he also made a name for himself as a painter.
