Günter Schönhart

Günter Schönhart (born September 1, 1941 in Wolfsberg ) is a former Austrian politician ( FPÖ ) and innkeeper. From 1989 to 1990 he was a member of the Austrian National Council .

After completing compulsory school, Schönhart attended an agricultural college and in 1964 took over his parents' farm. In 1976 he also bought a hotel and restaurant business and subsequently worked as an innkeeper. Schönhart started his political career as a local councilor in St. Margarethen , to which he was a member between 1970 and 1973. He was then from 1973 to 1979 City Councilor of Wolfsberg, from 1979 to 1985 City Council and between 1985 and 1989 again City Councilor. He represented the FPÖ in 1989 in the Carinthian state parliament, then moved to the National Council from June 6, 1989 to November 4, 1990, and was then again a member of the Carinthian state parliament from 1991 to 1994.
