Gęsia Kępa [ ˈgɛ̃ɕa ˈkɛmpa ] (German Behrens-Holm ) is an island in the back delta of the Swine in Poland . It belongs to a group of islands that lie between Wicko Wielkie ( Great Vietziger Lake ) and Stara Świna ( Old Swine ). The island is separated from Warnie Kępy ( Warnitzwiesen ) to the west by the Byczy Rów ( Four Ox Hole ) watercourse . Gęsia Kępa is currently connected to the island of Wołcza Kępa ( Wulwenkämpe ) in the east .
The island is uninhabited and is under nature protection because of its nature, which offers many animal species special protection (especially bird breeding areas ) .
